This week, one of my housemates moved out and being the next in line, I managed to get his bigger nicer and flowerpatternless room.
As such I've been moving stuff in and putting up some pictures for the last couple of days. This is the net result and I'm fairly happy with how I've got it set up so far. The pictures have come out well -
bigbigtruck's smokers club print is particularly fetching above the mantelpiece.
My desk. - The side is off my tower (Deijiko) at the moment because it's so hot right now I'm worried about things getting cooked.
Desk and mantelpiece - A look to the right reveals the aforementioned striking mantelpiece (awards and all) and my new cheap and cheerful wine rack containing not so cheap but very cheerful wine. Huzzah.
Ah the centre of any room. The TV - Actually it's TV, stereo, wardrobe, drawers and a nice pair of Ghibli related pictures. Underneath the image is a really really comfy sofa, which doesn't feature massively in any of the photos but if you want a better look at it then watch Ghostbusters. Sigourney Weaver has the same one in her apartment. She has a better piano than me though, even if it does only play two notes :P
Keyboard, couch and bed - This is what I'm currently trying to learn to play the piano on. To the right is a very comfy bed. I know the colour of the bedspread is awful (as are the matching curtains) but it was cheap. The teddy on the bed is called Jelly and was given to me by an ex girlfriend. The pictures on this wall are of Lain (I love Abe's art and the colours on this one really stand out) and the most awesome FLCL poster in the world ever which came with the first howevermany copies of FLCL dvd 5 in Japan.
Well that's enough of my hackneyed attempt at interior decorating (or interior unhorrifying as I saw it). It's nice and cosy.
Now, where did I put that corkscrew...?
