And today's lesson will be on...
Nov. 27th, 2002 12:54 amYou know those stories that are "A friend of a friend saw this thing that...." well this is one of those stories except I know the person this happened to today.
My friend Nicole was in a small class on using the IT and media equipment for her course today. Most of it was pretty dull as she knew how to use most of it, but it was minimum effort to attend. Anyway, she did learn a very good lesson today. When doing a slideshow followed by demonstrations of a digital camcorder...
...always remember to remove your home-made gay porn when you are going to show your camcorder to your students.
I kid you not. The head of the department nearly died as some guy from Computer Services accessed the camcorder showing the head naked, up-close and personal. The students just gasped and sat with dropped jaws, in total disbelief at what they had just seen. I can only begin to imagine how that guy felt at that moment. Apparently he did shout "Oh my god, no!" - there was no hiding the fact that it was him on the camcorder.
An uncomfortable silence ensued and the head nervously excused himself from the room. After he left, the computer sciences guy asked "Um... any questions?"
Everyone was just too dumbstruck, but god did they laugh about it later.
