They announced it ages ago, it's only now that I've found out who is directing it.

I guess this is pretty specific, but do you happen to know how many episodes per volume? That way I can gauge if it'll be 6 episodes or 13.

It's an OAV. There will be one episode, just like FLCL.

However, you may also recall that FLCL had english subs (and cost me a fortune to buy :P).

Yeah we played the R2 FLCL DVDs at our anime club in college about 4 (?) years ago. It was quite nice.

If this will have english subs too, I think I may debate buying some R2's for non-amv purposes (well amvs later).
