Photo Meme pt2 - Guess the Mysery Object
As requested by
jic, it's time to guess the mystery object!
This one had me stumped when I first found it at a friend's house and I had to finally ask what it was.
Download Mystery_Object.avi (about 2mb, xvid encoded) (right click and choose Save As...)
I'm going to screen comments on this post in case someone knows what it is right away. If you get it wrong, your post will be unscreened as soon as I see the post, if you get it right then I will reveal your name and the true answer in a few days once everyone has had a good chance to guess at it.

So I'll just say it has to do with eggs... it just reminds me of easter for some reason... and makes me think you'd use it to spin a hard-boiled egg to test if it's completely hard-boiled through.
I'm assuming I'm wrong.

(there's another weird item in this kitchen for opening bottles which looks like drug paraphenelia)

Or possibly some kind of cake-decorating utensil?
(I'm assuming that it's something found in the kitchen, simply because I am hesitant to venture a guess for anything found in another region of the house.)

Or, better yet: my guess is that it is something generally found in the kitchen, that is vaguely cake-related and somehow used for measuring or dispensing. Am I right? Hmm, am I right?
Perhaps it's some sort of measuring spoon, and the little spinny action is to make the flour (or whatever you're measuring in it) settle? Which seems kind of impractical to me when you can just give the spoon a good shake, but hey, what else are mystery objects for?

I have no idea what it really is though.

I think I've got it!
It's a tablespoon measuring thing with a little plastic scraper in it that makes sure all of the baking powder ends up in the bowl and not stuck in the spoon.
