grumble....

in the week between the US and UK releases of the matrix reloaded I'm sure I'll read about every scene of the movie on forums and blogs even if I try not to.

I guess a week isn't as bad as the 6/8 weeks there was when episode 1 was released. Boy they learned fast that you shouldn't do that for big releases... I'm pretty sure everyone in the country had seen that as a bootleg before it was out at the cinema.

Not that I think this movie is special in any way, I'm just not a big fan of movie spoilers ^^;;

I won't say a word about it :)

And it IS special, it's THE MATRIX RELOADED!

I'm 100% with you on that one...I happen to have many friends and siblings who have diarhea of the mouth and say too much...they get the Corbo Fist of Pain implanted in them quickly after :D

I like the part in Identity when you find out that John Cusack is actually Jake Busey in disguise, who is the actual killer.

At least AMVs give you a possible chance to see the anime first, given the time taken to make one.

It's not like someone going to the super secret pre-pre-release screening of Empire Strikes Back and then phoning me having left and saying "OMG! Vader is Luke's father!!" :)

Ian! Damn it! I haven't seen that! j/k :)

Anyway, I hope your friends are considerate and put a "spoilers warning" or something in their journal posts. I do that when I do a movie review or on the .org for anime.

I don't think you'll be missing much, even if you do see spoilers. The film looks like it'll be very pretty, and that's all.

Couldn't they have spent the money on effects with something interesting, or is this just another manifestation of the rule that deadwood floats?

Yeah, because you've seen the movie already and know for a fact that it's shallow crap, right? :P

The first one wasn't the best advert for it, no, and a Wired article that hyperventilates about how the major setpiece involves 1** A**** S*****, as if that's the crowning glory of the film, doesn't leave me hopeful.

It'll look great, and I'll probably see it on that basis alone. Anything else it happens to come up with will be a bonus, and wholly unexpected. ^_-
