Now this is what I like to see.

Style parody AMVs are great, and this one is cool. It's a bit rough technically, but it really doesn't matter because it pretty much works. I like seeing people much around like this:

It's a parody of the 2nd original music video to the song (the non-Nike one) whihc you can see here if you haven't seen it before.

I was a little worried when she said it was done mostly in photoshop, cause I was thinking stillls but she used it for background removal of animation. As I say, it's rough but the effect is sufficient to keep the video cool. Well worth a watch, will probably gain a lot of popularity.

Heh, that reminds me...I can't remember the term for the second half of my DDR3 video...there's a term for imitation of style with neither homage nor parody. [livejournal.com profile] sertrel took a film class at Duke one summer, and they applied the term to the Beastie Boys' Sabotage video, and Smashing Pumpkins' Tonight, Tonight video. I think my vid fits into that category..

Yeah, I can't imagine how much Photoshop work went into removing the backgrounds for all of those characters and everything. Rough around some of the edges, but it doesn't detract too much. Plus, I love the song.

O_O

Wow. Damn that's good. I'm gonna have to go and watch the original video now. I can't say I'm surprised though- Sierra Lorna and her sister make some good stuff. That took a LOT of time in PS cutting out backgrounds...
