You see, not only is it a look into the life of a very interesting and inspirational man, it's written by a fucking genius.
Christopher Ricks has this ability to produce definitive critical works. I'm used to his editions of literary giants (I can't see anyone ever doing a more detailed study of Tennyson ever ever ever) but everything I've ever read by him has always been brilliant and insightful.
Must... buy.... gah!
