Dreams of War

absolutedestiny OK, I very rarely remember dreams but occasionally some really stick.
I have recurring dreams sometimes about nuclear holocaust. About a month ago I had a dream where I was at a party and I went outside. It was night time and it was cold. Clear skies. I looked at a friend of mine and she was huddled up crying. She said "it's happened" and continued crying uncontrollably. I knew instantly what it was and was overcome with fear at which point another friend (she was more of a blend of some people I know) saw the expression on my face, understood and started crying and screaming... really really screaming like episode 1 of Twin Peaks grabbing-hair and just bitterly screaming.
Damn that dream scared the hell out of me. I woke up pretty fast.
A few weeks back I had a peculiar dream. War had broke out, or so it seemed - I'd just accepted it as fact. For some reason I was in a field about a mile from a motorway with a friend - I think it was a girl again - when we realised that there was an airstrike coming. We ran through the field and bombs were dropping on us but instead of fiery explosives it was like giant drops of well... nothing - like some matrix-esque power drop and it was warping vision like a drop of water. We still felt very much in danger though and we kept running as fast as we can.
For some reason we now both had guns - some submachine gun of some type. In escaping the bombs we'd run into a guard post at the roadside. We same men who we understood to be the enemy; they were middle-eastern. They pointed guns at us and we pointed them back. I was ready to die but looking at each other we all realised that we had no reason to be enemies. The bombs had stopped, we dropped our guns and some of us started crying. We were all so happy and started thanking each other for not shooting.
Pretty obvious dreams, in a way and I didn't pay much attention to them at the time but I just thought I'd record them here as I don't remember dreams much.
